What are the chances that i will actually get caught using Limewire?!
Question: I know its illegal to use limewire and I dont use it that often. I use it on occasion, maybe a few songs a week. Is there anyone who knows of anybody who was sued or anything of that nature? Or does anybody know the laws about copyright infringement and what not?

Sharing files IS NOT illegal. Sharing "copyrighted" files is. You can't get in trouble just for using Limewire, unless you get caught sharing music, programs, movies, etc. Which doesn't leave room for anything "fun" I guess. I think the chances of getting caught are as probable as winning the lottery, but I could be grossly mistaken.
Anyway, If you're not willing to take risks, then don't. I just wanted to inform you that it IS NOT ILLEGAL TO SHARE FILES.
It's sad nowadays when record companies can throw a band together who only have one good song, then you waste $20 on a cd with one good song, and the rest is crap.
If you'd like to use Limewire to download music, but don't want to get caught. Instead, maybe you should just buy songs on Itunes. They're only 99cents a piece, and you know exactly what you're getting...

i dont think you will get caught. i know tons of people who use it like everyday.
i wouldn't lose any sleep over it or anything, just for example, say everyone in the world puts a number in a bucket (very large bucket). what are the odds of your number being drawn? and there you have it.
