Austin Texas?!
Question: In the next year or so, I want to move somewhere with the company I work for. One of my favorite places is Austin because of the art and music over there. I currently live in Nevada.

AUSTIN, TEXAS IS AMAZING!
Yes, the music and art scenes are one of the best. So is the party scene, at 6th street, but clubbing can get pretty old. But there's always something to do and whatnot. Since the music and art scenes are great, there are always awesome concerts and events to go to. The SXSW (South by Southwest) Music & Film conferences take place there. Since it's a college city, Austin is populated with a lot of younger people. They're all generally pretty nice, easy going people as well. Since it's also the state capital, there's always a lot of interesting activity going on, particularly political stuff, if you happen to be into that as well. There are a lot of great restaurants, and the city overall is just a beautiful place.
I don't live there, but I take roadtrips to Austin every once in a while. I live in Houston, which is about 3 hours away. I also have a lot of friends who go to UT or live there, and so far they're enjoying every minute of it and usually can't wait to go back whenever they visit Houston for the holidays.
San Marcos is also pretty close to Austin, about a 30 minute drive if you wanna visit there too. And then San Antonio is about an hour away.
I would go were you really want to, and that's Austin you will be much happier
