For a first guitar...?!

Question: is it better to get an acoustic or elecrtic to learn on?

I prefer an acoustic. When you play acoustic, the strings are thicker and harder to play.

It's always easier to transition from acoustic to electric. Your fingers will be well trained. It's not so easy to do it vice versa.

Electric because they are more versitile and easier to handle

Um this is a diffucult question to anwser. It would be easier if you could say the genre of music you enjoy playing, but I would have to say electric its more open to a variety of genre's. Unless you are playing a genre like classical i would suggest electric. I've been playing guitar, saxaphone, trombone, and piano for a while now and I think electric would be your best bet.

For first time learners, accoustic guitars are the best choice

Honestly, acoustic
But when I started, I hated it so much i gave up
Then, 4 years later, I got an electric guitar
And the rest is history
But the smart choice would be acoustic
