I don't have a favorite magician because I haven't actually seen a magic show since I was in grade school (besides on TV) but it does amaze me and I would love ot see one now!
I knew a guy in the Army who was great at it. You could site next to him, much closer than a stage magician, and still not figure out how he did it. He showed me one of his tricks and it was obvious when you know what to look for - but I saw him do it many times and could not figure it out, great miss direction.
