Places to modify an instrument?!
Question: I have had a stroke and I play the sax, and my fingers won't stay on the keys, I was wondering if there is a place to get it modified so my fingers won't slip off the keys. P.S it is an alto saxophone.

I have seen people that have had saxophones modified for special needs (a form of palsy that paralyzed half their face, missing fingers, etc). By what I have seen, there isn't any certain company that does this, or anything like that. The people that discussed this usually just had a technician they knew and trusted a lot who was able to make modifications to their instrument and do them well. I'm sorry that it's the best recommendation I can give, but I would definetely talk to your repair technician and see what they could possibly do. At the very least, they can recommend someone that might be better if they can't. I would also talk to your physical therapist to see if they have a company that makes tools for people in situations like yours and see if that company would be able to fabricate what you need too.
