Celtic music, like it or not?!

Question: Yes, I like most of it very much. I have a video of the "Celtic Woman" and I love to watch it as it's filmed at a castle in Ireland. It's a mixture of lively fiddle music, and soulful. I also have an acquaintance who just made a Cd of beautiful Celtic music. She has an amazing talent with various instruments, and a lovely voice. Some Celtic music I don't care for as much, but the majority is good. Depends on my mood. Love Country too and many other types. .

i dig

really enjoy it..

yea

? Like it ?

I like some of it, but not all of it. That seems to be the case with all styles of music.

I'm a big fan of Paul Brady, Celia, Christy Moore, Clannad, and many other individuals and bands. Celtic songs often have a political message, funny story, or something else of substance in them. The music in general is pretty easy on the ears (some may argue with me on this, due to bagpipes in some Celtic music), but there are a few songs that I don't like. Most of the traditional stuff is good, but some of the more modern stuff lacks substance. That's why I listen to Celtic performers who sing classics and those whose new material has substance, like Celia Farran.
