Does Anyone Know A Good Anime/Manga?!
Question: With the following things included in it:
? Romance (doesn't have to be the main thing)
? Magic or some supernatural element
? Awesome noticeable hair
? Preferably yaoi (not neccessary)
? Can be for any age, preferably for 12+ (again, not neccessary)
? Something with a large fanbase, because I'm a fan of fanfiction.
The only anime/manga I like at the moment is Yu-Gi-Oh!, which is kind of for kids and I need something else to read/watch.
Also, if you want to recommend any good anime/manga that doesn't meet the guidelines above, than that's fine too.

ghost hunt - quite a lot of supernatural, magic, mystery, psychological stuff. well, there was one episode with just a joke about something like yaoi... but....it's just a joke in the anime....
well, there's a cute guy, a bit of romance, and it's a great anime!!
night head genesis - again, cute guys, they're brothers actually. no romance, but it's again got supernatural, magic, mystery, psychological genre. and it's a great anime again!!
jigoku shoujo and jigoku shoujo futakomori - cute guy again!! somewhat the same genre as the two above, not much romance, but a great story with great endings and characters and everything nice!!
serial experiments lain - supernatural thingy.a bit creepy. but still nice though.
clannad - great anime! got romance, a bit of supernatural, kawaii girls and stuff. great story! a bit sad at times.
meitantei conan - romance, mystery. it's a great anime!!!!!!!!!! ^ ^
death note - ^ ^ !!!! yay! support L! really a great anime! magic, supernatural, psychology. erm, nice hair... got some yaoi pairing situation going on due to fans or something......

well, i think fruits basket is rather good and has a few of the things your looking for or one called bleach which i haveonly recently heard of myself and havent watched yet but by the soudns of it everyone likes it =]

Besides Death Note which only has 36 and 2 movies, most of these have over 200 episodes which means about more than 400 to 500 manga chapters.
A good anime is one called Akira, its for an older audience, but its very good, it has a good story if you could follow it, also another is spriggan, again its for an older audience, however it has a great action scenes.

Yeah. Bleach is a nice manga to read. I suggest to read the manga rather than to watch the anime because some parts of an anime are different from the manga.
Another worth while anime to watch would be Fullmetal Alchemist.

first thing that popped in my head was Ouran High School Host Club. it has some tiny bit romance, hilarious-wall-banging comedy, some hint of yaoi, and subtle magic i suppose.

Bleach satisfies all of those things, but the romance really only comes into it later, and it's still not a large part of it. Both the anime and manga are good to watch or read, but I prefer the anime.
You should enjoy The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, which you can find on youtube. It's only an anime, not manga, though it is really a series of light novels which are just as good as the anime. You can find them on Baka-Tsuki, if your interested.
Ah! My Goddess! might be worth a look, as might DNAngel.
