Half of them are probably English teachers and misspelled words could cause them a hemmoridal attack.
The meaning is clear when the spelling and grammar are clear. Sometimes I haven't the slightest clue what someone is asking -- or if a question was even asked!

it's a perfectionist thing...they can't stand seeing it so the try and fix the problem by correcting you.
