"Duet with" OR "Feat."?!

Question: I see on some CDs phrases "duet with" and "feat.". Are they different or just the same?

Answers: I see on some CDs phrases "duet with" and "feat.". Are they different or just the same?

duet is where the singers synchronise their voices and sing TOGETHER like "Hate that I love you by Rihanna and Ne-yo" and feat. is wherein an artist is featured with a special part in a song (ex. Buttons - Pussycat Dolls feat. Snoop Dogg where the Pcd sings and Snoop Dogg raps at the middle part) :)

I would say that a duet is like equal parts
like a love song or something
and feat. is more like when they just join in on the chorus
or so a bit of rapping at the beginning or whatever

Same as what the first person said however, on the new Timbaland song its
Timbaland featuring One republic, well One Republic sings the whole song while the fat man literally goes, eh eheheh 3 times through the song!! So what is that classed as??
