The six lines with numbers dotted on the lines represent the strings. The top line is high E, the bottom line is low E. The number represents what fret to put your finger behind. The tempo/timing should be listed but isn't, but is also representative of the spacing between the fret #'s. You start with finger 2nd fret of high e, and play open d at same time. Then open d alone, then 5th fret on high e, open d again.....

The numbers indicate what fret to use for each string

you go by the numbers. If, for example, on the first string you see a 2, then that means the note is on the 2nd fret

what the **** are you talking about? the numbers are the fret position the strings kinda seem upside down. from the top string, the thickest strings it goes EADGBe. so pluck whatever string on whatever fret...this is not quantim physics fcuk
