if others are interested in advertise on your site, depends purely on yout sites traffic.
You need a certain (big) number of visits per day.
The question is not if people like your "hit single", the problem is, if people will visit your web page.
So ask yourself, how to increase traffic to your website, first.
You could have the best piece of music, it is useless, if nobody can find it.
Put it also up on free hosting websites, just to get a feedback and to see if your hit single is as good as you think. In the end, OTHER people need to think its good, THEY need to like it if you want to make money.
Try put in on YouTube, they have a counter, and comments, so you can see how many people listened to your music, and read their comments.
Also, there are other sites, like myspace and internetDJ.
