Is the music industry a greedy, money hungry giant?!
Question: I know that sounds bad, or sounds like I'm a hater, but truly look at the music industry now. It's nothing more than a business to its producers and artists. Music no longer has any conceptual meaning in the most of the mainstream, and you have to actually look to find out which artists are good artists (Such as Alicia Keys, Usher, sometimes Beyonce, Justin Timberlake, Timbaland, Robin Thicke, Ne-Yo), and which are sellouts or just plain bad (Fergie, T-Pain, sometimes Akon, Soulja Boy, Hurricane Chris, Rihanna, Chris Brown, MIMS). It sort of disgusts me.

You Use "Good" here relatively right? because all the good artists you mentioned are actually just average but compared to the **** put out they seem good. none of them can hold a candle to say ...regina spektor...who im sure you havent even heard heard of. The industry only sells what they think ppl (13 yr olds) want to hear, hence the fergie's, chris browns (who has some catchy songs but is gonna fade into irrelevance very soon because his hits are made by the producers not him) so you never get to hear the different original from the heart artists so much. Music has gradually been sold to a younger and younger audience who cant tell the sprite from the shite...
Agreed. And I hate how they steal people's money... and expect them to pay for drm encoded crap. It's so hard to find places to buy music.. like not itunes.. rip off. They are making people turn to illegal downloads with their greediness.
