That's a pull off. It means you strike the note with the flat pick, then the left hand, while it's lifting off the note, pulls the string to the side for a second, softer hit on the second note. In other words the picking hands picks the first note, the left hand picks the second. It's a tricky thing but once you get it you'll like it.
However, as a guitar player of forty years I have to wonder: Why do so many young people learn tabs instead of real sheet music?
The idea of music as a language is to share. Guitar is the only instrument that seems to want its own language dialect.
Reading sheet music is really very easy.
Tableture is a kind of second best thing. IMO.
Generally speaking, 'P' represents 'piano' which translates to 'soft' or to play the piece of music soft. 'P P' would more soft. 'F' represents 'forte' which translates to 'loud'. 'F F' would mean more loud & forceful. However, I'm not sure if this applies to guitar tab. I rarely use guitar 'tab'.
usually it would be a "pull off" I would think. though you can't really "pull off" from 0 to 7... that would be a hammer.. or a hammer-pull off.
P is the thumb.
