http://www.stage6.com/ is a YouTube-like site that has the option to download videos (in *.divx format).

Obviously most of the sorts of videos you're looking for are on sites like YouTube and Veoh, and if you find videos there that you can't download on Stage6, you can always use websites like ClipNabber to 'lift' them off of the website. Videos you lift will be *.flv's, which likely won't play in your default media player. I use GOM Player to play *.flv's (GOM also supports most other video formats, including *.divx's, it doesn't download spyware or viruses, and it comes with a bunch of common video codecs).
