I think, (bear in mind that this is only a guess), it has something to do with the importance of punctuation in sentences. Lol, as for everyone having a go at him, geez guys it was only a question. Its kinda what this site is for..

Funnily enough , people went to school to learn the english grammer and it is told that to let a person or persons know that you are asking a question, ? is the mark you put at the end of your sentence, but some people like you have maybe forgotton. Have a nice day!!!
