Answers: how can the government justify paying teachers ￡100.000+ a year to sit at the front of a classroom eating apples while reading out the words others have written!!!!!!!????!!!!!! they work 9am~3pm that includes free apples,,.,.free heating food...free pencils..free clothing AND chalk.who agrees? disagrees?

All teachers need shooting or whipping! I'm a School caretaker and I hate em. If I don't like a teacher, I turn off their heating in winter and on in Summer.
As an underworked overpaid teacher I ease my conscience each month when I recieve my paycheck by making a huge donation to the "Feed a spicegirl" fund.

1) Teachers pay is not ￡100,000= a year!..it starts at like 20 and gradually goes up...and even then think of all thr aggro tehy have to put up with.
2) Eating apples is just some stupid stereotype you have.
3) Teaching is more than just reading.
4) You have got to be kidding if you think they work 9-3. most teachers are at school atleast an hour before the school day starts and don't get out until 5 or 6 (unpaid marking).
5) chalk days are over! we've moved way past chalk boards, past white boards...we're now on interactive white boards...

Let me know which school pays that! Teachers don't just work school hours. I have to do my planning at home cause i don't get time in school. I work an average of 15 hours at weekends and that's an easy weekend!

The teachers i know start at 08.00 and don't normally get away before 16.30..
They get paid about ￡20,000 per year and when you break that down it doesn't really give them a good hourly rate for someone who had to gain the qualifications that are required to teach...
As far as only reading what others have written, do you actually know any teachers?? There is a lot of work involved in teaching kids.. and at the end of the day, these people have to endure all types of abuse from the "Kids" assault is common in the classroom, as is threats against the teachers..
Even though i am not smart enough to become a teacher, i am intelligent enough to appreciate the work involved, and appreciate the efforts made by this very hard working profession!!
