Those who have been slating Joss Stones voice?!
Question: Ask yourself this, if she was black would you still hate her voice? the issue seems to be that she 'sings like a black person and cannot find her own style' but that IS her style. She likes soul and has been blessed with a voice suited to this style of singing. Forget her looks, her dress sense etc, she is a talented serious artist and should be respected the same way as the likes of Katie Melua etc. But because she is a young white girl, she seems to be treated like some silly pop star. The girl has talent. When Kate Nash, Lily Allen and Rihanna can hold a note like Joss then I'll listen to people slagging her off. Along with the wonderful Christina Aguilera, Joss has the best female voice going.

Like every type of music and artist, they have their fans and their critics, even if its other factors that make you like them/ hate them other than the music.....
I personally do not like Joss Stone's music but I respect that you and others do....

My issue with Joss Stone is she is English and yet whilst in America puts on an American accent as if she is ashamed to be British and yet back in Blighty reverts back to her natural accent! This is fake and i don't like Fake people! Nothing to do with how she sings or what she sings!
let me clear something up there is no such thing as being or 'singing black'people sound so pathetic when they use that term. the fact is many black females before little joss stone have being singing in a style deemed as soulful mainly because of the struggles they have had to face in their lives for being a woman and yes black. So therefore soulful singing is associated with a black woman. I agree Joss stone has a very good voice she can sing but shes only doing what pioneers of music before her have done i.e Aretha Franklin, Tina Turna, Diana Ross. I dont agree that she should be judged on her looks I dont hate her or her voice I just think it shouldn't be forgotten how she has achieved this style because obviously it isnt her own, which Im sure she would agree. Its not a about the colour of her skin its about taste and if somebody doesn't like her its because she doesnt fit into what they like.I think Joss stone IS quite good but not the best female voice going!! Mariah Carey is the best!!!!
