Answers: You should all be buying these movies and songs, not stealing them. Please don't ruin the music and video industry.

nope

OK, then.

ha!

are you the patron st of CD/DVDs

Shouldn't this be in the public service department?

Maybe people have got fed up of being ripped off for years. how much does it cost to produce a record. Anyway i don't feel sorry for any private business.

I would stop if I knew how to do it but being a computer illiterate I can't even start.

If any of you people had any artistic talent whatsoever, you would agree with this statement. Having the talent to create something somewhat entertaining takes a great imagination which obviously most of you do not possess. Gain some artistic talent and create an art piece and then say that it's okay for someone to steal it. How about if your boss came into your place of business, probably McDonalds, and told you that you were not needed to work there anymore because people can simply download a burger on the net for free. Wouldn't that put you out of a job?

ok ill fund a new mansion for the artist, while i rent a bloody box room! coz that makes sense!

Any thing you say

wen i see a pig flyin over my house, then maybe.

rofl copter, yea right

hmm i dont do it, know of people who do though

Maybe the people in the music industry should actually remember what they got in it for-entertaining people and the enjoyment performing brought them-and not for the money. They make a ridiculous amount on cd's, tshirts, and other items-I think they could let people LEGALLY download their music for free, even if they just offered it as a one day thing or a one week thing where the person that wanted to download it had to do it within a certain time period.

If you go to a local music show of an unknown artist or band-you can either get their CD for free-or for 5 bucks and it has just as many songs on it-if not more than big name artists' cds. The unknowns are performing and doing this for minimal money and mainly just for the joy of performing, not for the dollar signs behind it.

They make millions of dollars off of merch and ticket sales, and cry over pennies lost from downloading. Maybe if the record companies didn't charge 20 bucks a cd, or actually signed bands with some talent, more people would be compelled to purchase these albums.

I dont see why the music industry has to but in. You can't stop millions of people from downloading crap illegally. If they want to sell legal stuff, then they should have something in it for the customers, like if you download our songs you get a new car.

I've never downloaded anything illegally.
I'm hurt at the accusation.

Errrrr......No, i'm sure Madonna, Tom Cruise Rick Rubin Angelina Jolie or some champagne quaffing record exec really need my 8 Quid.
My heart bleeds.

Fight the power

No technically if we keep doing it, then artists can start selling their own material on the internet without it being released by record companies who own them and ruin their music AND take most of the profit...!!!! :-) And its not much different from wat i used to do when i was a teen, tape songs I liked off the top 40 from the radio.. that never harmed the music industry did it? People still like to buy a proper product!

dont worry there are always plenty of plonkers willing to pay extortionate amounts for them.
and what with selling perfume, sponsors etc etc they will get their mansions and flash cars for working a few hrs a day. if i get so much money for my work then i could afford to pay the shop prices.

When they stop ripping people off price wise it might stop.I have used a website called find-dvd.co.uk to search for best prices on DVDs/Cd's and am amazed at the difference in prices.Example, Die Hard 4.0 £12.99 from Cd Wow,£22.88 from Tesco.Over £10 difference for the same DVD.Why?Somebody is making one hell of profit here aren't they, and its the punters who suffer everytime. Not everybody can go online and do a search,so they stand a good chance of having to pay over the top for their DVDs/Cd's.

You go for it man- set an example, but I'd rather you led by example and didn't preach. The music industry always whines about this sort of thing- when tapes came out, they acted like it was the end of the world too- and they do overcharge. People still do buy CDs, even those who download as well, and that's for the packaging. The industry may cry because millions of albums have been downloaded for free- that doesn't mean they've lost millions of pounds of profit though, because as soon as people have to pay, they buy fewer units. I think it's good to see private individuals leading the way- the music and video industry can't keep operating as it has been doing- if it is ruined as a result of new technology, it will be because it has failed to adapt- the world won't change to suit them.

Some people say that the current climate stifles new talent, but all new acts need is a lap top and a sound editor and they can get their music on the web. They may have to tour like badgers to make money, but that's the way it used to be in the Sixties and Seventies...

OK make them cheaper i will buy them at the store, or sell singles
