Drumset help! :) please?!

Question: Hi all!

My teacher is selling me a drumset which is 38 by 52 inches. However, is playing with a smaller drumset different from that of an average sized one?

Also, my mum worries about soundproofing. Is it necessary to soundproof the walls or is it ok if i play only during certain times of the day..?

Thank you for the help. i will give a best answer :)

Yes it is different. It all depends on the sound quality. A larger drum set will have more symbols and different drums that could need to be hit in songs but you could always buy those separately after. As for soundproofing, try to make an agreement with your mom as when you will be playing them. For example playing:2pm-4pm. or any other times. Have fun with your drums.

If you have dreams Persue them it will always pay you in a long term!

The size of the set depends on the size of the person, so if you are 6' or under just fine, above that its a stretch. You can soundproof your drumsets by putting foam pads over the drum heads, they sell those at your local music shop, it reduces the sound but not the fun.

drums are extremely LOUD,
i would get some soundproofing for both your sakes.

and u'll get use to a bigger set in no time, enjoy!
