Why is Cheap Trick's "I Want You to Want Me" always the live versi!
Question: Today, on the radio, I heard I Want You to Want Me." It's the live version... is there a studio version? Why is the live version always the one played? And was the album it from called "Live from Budakon?"

There is a studio version on their first album, Cheap Trick. The record company made them tone it down. The live version from Budokan is the one preferred by fans. Cheap Trick is a band meant to be experienced live, they always have been. (I personally like both versions, it's all Cheap Trick to me)

***THERE IS A STUDIO VERSION, BUT IT WASN'T AS IG OF A HIT ON THE CHARTS AS THE LIVE VERSIONJ. PERSONALLY, I LIKE THE LIVE VERSION MUCH BETTER.***
I don't know, but I've noticed that too. I noticed the same thing with the KISS song, "I Wanna Rock & Roll All Night." Whenever it gets played, it's the live version. I don't like live versions unless I am in the audience while it's being played!
