Answers: Antigone was the protagonist of the story antigone written by Sophacles, she was sister to Ismene, Polynices, and Etocles who are all children of Oedipus. Oedipus was the person who killed his father and married his mother.

Antigone is the daughter of the accidentally incestuous relationship between Oedipus and his mother, Jocasta.

Socrates also wrote a play under her name.

Antigone is a daughter of King Oedipus with his own mother Queen Jocasta. Which makes her father (Oedipus) also her brother because they had the same mother (Jocasta)... she's a sister of Polynices.

She tried to secure a respectable burial for Polynices in Thebes bu unfortunately, her brother was considered a traitor there.

the story turns a bit confusing because of the blood-relationships between the characters... it's quite good though...
