Exactly as Stainless said. And what about "reality" shows? That crap HAS to be scripted. One of my professors told us that there is an outline of how these shows (Top Model, Survivor, Jerry Springer, Hell's Kitchen, etc.) turn out, although every word of dialog is not scripted. But do the people who plan the shows categorize themselves as "writers"? I don't know. It will be interesting to see if anyone notices a change in these programs during the strike.
