sincerity

Not dancing isnt weird at all. Most important factor is fun, making sure everyone is having a good time.

the guest list

or as I like to call it: the guessed list

Not dancing is not too weird.

Technically the singlemost important thing is safety. If people are getting hurt at your party, then it would suck.

Aside from that, if it isn't too late to let people know, it's always good to have some sort of party theme. That automatically creates interesting avenues, sometimes even unexpected ones. Any theme will do, depending on how wild the guests are. For example, we did a surf party last December that including 'surfing' on a little hill in the front yard in the snow. We were all in swim attire. That wouldn't have gone over well with people from the office. You could always do a send-in-a-baby-pic kind of thing. Then you display them all over with numbers. You have people fill out a form trying to guess who is who. The ones with the most right get door prizes or whatever. Stuffy office types love this kind of thing. Our most popular party is a Regifting of Last Year's Bad and Odd Holiday Gift Party. Everyone brings something left over from last year and puts it into the pot. Then you make up your own rules--like when it is your turn, you can choose a gift or a shot. And if you do two shots, you can steal a gift that has already been picked. Whatever. A theme is always cool.

I think you've got it covered kiddo.
I don't dance often either, so That's copacetic too.
Have fun!
