Formale of 5'11" the right combination will be 5'7" to 5'11". and vice-versa.
Well for me I'm 5'7,so a height I perfere for a male is between 5'9-6'1

I think you may have a typo, in the, second part..
Rule of thumb is Female shorter then the Male, but it realy does not matter.
Two to three inch difference is prefered and to-days technology can compansate it by different tricks.
Well tall men and short girls looks very cute according to me.So for a man of 5'11 a girl of 5'00-5'3 is nice..something like amitabh and jaya bacchan

Well I guess I'm out of the Q all together as I'm a 5'4" male. Yes it can be frustrating! I saw a girl I liked and we got on but she was a good inch taller than me and I had shoes with a heel and she was on flat shoes so that probably makes her 2" taller! So it never went further than friendship.
But I know my answer is not specifically related but it is kind of. For me being my hight I prefer my partner to be either my hight (so that when shes with me shes not wearing high heels, at least not longer than the heels on my shoes otherwise she can wear what she wants) however I also wouldn't like my partner to be too short. So maybe an inch shorter is ok but not much shorter than that. There was this lovely girl but she was like 4' something and it wasn't to my taste however my friend ended up with her and he is 5'10"/11". Maybe he didn't mind the hight or maybe it's exactly how he liked it to be as he can be like a person wanting to peer down on others!
Anyway to round off, in my defense, my great grand father was tall its just that my great grandmother was v-small and it is very evident if you see my family that my grandfather got the height genes from my great grandmother and consequently we are all small in height. Whereas my grandfathers brother inherited the hight genes from my gr8 grandfather as all that side of the family are tall. which i find interesting and yes sometimes I ask God - WHY! lol.
my husband is 5'11" and i'm 5'2". we make an odd pair height-wise, but he likes that i'm petite. makes him feel like a big, strong protector.
It dosent matter its go for what you like....
