I was dumpster diving behind Blockbuster and I found about 15 DVD's without !

Question: They are all different movies on regular DVD's, but they have these dots all over them. It looks like they were pressed into the DVD front and back. I was wondering if this is what they do to DVD's when they are going to throw them away so no one can use them, but if so, where's the cases? I dunno, I thought maybe someone that has worked at a movie store may know. BTW, I found a big Transformers window display. You guys should really check out their dumpsters, LoL.

they do destroy movies when they throw them away, if they want to, but it's not a requirement. and they do have lot's of cool stuff in their dumpsterrs too. I used to work at Video Update, then for a Movie Gallery for a while after it bought VU.

Stay out the dumpsters...heh...

Yes, you are exactly right. The dvd's were likely identified first by customers and then the Blockbuster staff has having been worn out, or improperly copied with jerks and fuzz or lines. Blockbuster, or any movie chain, will then put them into a hand press to permanently destroy them so that entrepreneurs such as as you won't benefit from the destruction of the dvds. The cases are of course still in good shape and haven't been used as hard or at all. They are returned or held in the store until such time as a replacement dvd arrives!
