If you have it up it needs out atleast 30 min a day to get exercise and to keep from having excessive bordum that cause cribbing and other really bad habits
I came from a ranch in Colorado. Your question depends on the horse. Horses have vastly different personalitites, like humans. If you asked humans how often they like to walk, you would also get vastly different answers. If your horse looks like he needs walked, then walk him, especially if he is in a small pen where he is not free to walk or run.
