Why the Beatles had as their dreams to know the States?!

Question: Yup, why? Was this country at that time so attractive like is it today for some (not for me, L. American)?

Tnx! It is just a curiosity of a fan - a pretty new fan.

I think the first answerer was quite right. The USA is a huge market for music, even for the kiddie pop of the Beatles. They were fortunate enough to get the fans, young kids in particular, as their fans. I don't know how old you are, but if you are a new fan, I would think you're about the age of their fans when they started. And the sixties, both in the States and in Britain, was on the verge of something new. It wasn't the music of the Beatles, as some would say, their music was like that of so many other groups. But maybe they had more foresight and decided that the USA market would enhance their record sales. And it worked for them, they were the first to gain from the new market. Hence the attraction.

It was just a marketing ploy to sell more records.
