Is it safe to be a stripper?!

Question: I'm not shy in the least, and I could really use the money. But is it safe to be a stripper? What are the risks of the job and what are the benefits?

Thanks so much.

Think about it this way. Is it safe to work at a Gas Station as a Clerk? Is it safe to be a Taxi Cab Driver? Is it safe to be a School Teacher? In this Day and Age there is nothing Safe because of all of the freaks and twisted people in the world.

Being an Entertainer( Stripper) at least you have Security in the Building at all times, and walking the floor plus security camera in most clubs and in the parking lots. ( Atleast in Atlatna)

The Risks:
* Letting the Money goto your head, and not staying grounded.

* Not treating it as a Buisness, and more of a Party.

* Not Utilizing your money and blowing it, and not have anything to show for your hard work over a 1 year period.

* Not staying focused and neglecting your responsibility's

Pro's:

* Potential of getting out of Debt

* Potential of toning your body ( dancing is constant exercise)

* Work your Own Schedule / being an Independant Contractor( work when you want to)

* Meet People from all over the World ( Customers who travel and Stop in during thier stay)

* Save up to buy a house or car or take a vacation and not have to worry if your boss will let you take off, or if you have enough money because you have a mortgage to pay

I danced for almost 10 years , In 2 months I was able to put 10k down on a house and pay my regular bills ( like rent, grocerys, carpayments, utilitys, bought new living room suite for my new house , ( BUT I DID WORK 6 DAYS A WEEK, TO MEET MY GOAL).

In almost 10 years of Dancing, I have been able to buy a House, 2 Cars, Jet ski, take vacations, buy my son a car , Open my own on-line store, in process now of opening my own Pole Dance Studio, Stay out of work and Take care of my mother while she went through Breast Cancer Surgery and Chemo, and helped pay her bills on top of mine, Have Cosmetic Surgery, and Go to College with out finacial assistance and I am also a Paralegal.

No body can make your decisions for you, it is something that you have to have your mind set to. You are the only person who can keep your self out of trouble, and you should know Right from Wrong.

If you were to dance and saw something that you know you shouldnt do, don't do it, don't just do it becuase you are going with the flow and you want to fit in. That's where you get side tracked from your actual goal at hand. Which is making Money. Your thier to Make Money NOT FRIENDS.

nope..you ever watch the sopranos?!

if you are clean about it, then yes it is, just make sure you work at a reputable place that provides security for you.

uuum eww thats just wrong......

well i've heard that they make alot of money but believe me you don't want to do that kind of work! just for your rep - it'll come back to haunt you i'm sure. and it could be dangerous b/c there are alot of seedy/dangerous guys that frequent those type of places and could end up stalking you. i would find another lucrative but (safer) and a more respectable way of making a living. you'll be glad you did when you get older!

yeh u should make alot of money
but some perverts will find u attractive and will rape u in a dark alley or bathrom stall

well it is save if u do it at a save jount but yea i counts were you do it (i wonted do it ) but if you really need the money

NO u do not want to end up like BRITNEY SPEARS

The only thing that would make it unsafe is the choices you make while doing it. If you take guys home at the end of the night, you could run into a whack job and get killed. Or you could wind up on drugs like 3/4ths of the other girls. But I want to make sure you could actually make it as a stripper. You'll need to send me some pics so I can make an honest evaluation. Just kidding, just make good desicions and you'll stay safe.

That is a profession for women (or men ) who don't realize their mental creativity to pursue and do other things. Having said that, with the way people think these days, I would think that stripping, like prostitution shares alot of the same hazards...rape for example.

no. not at all

You're inviting the worst scum of society to view you and stalk you daily. That doesn't sound too safe to me.

Well, to be straight up- It is NEVER safe to be a stripper. However the safety of the job depends sometimes on WHERE you work. If you work at a "dive" or even a well - known casino is very dangerous [ those Two things attract alot of gangsters) But if you work at a place that ( lets say) Allows couples, and is not "cheesy" then it would be much Safer. I do not know where you live, but " The Fritz" in Anaheim ca is kinda a nice place to start , but keep in mind if you want to work in a nice place, you need "good" personality and Stunning looks/body. The pros are great fast cash, and the advantage of mostly just working idependently. The cons are Perverts, and gangsters that want to literally "Sale" you into Human trafficking. My advice is be VERY VERY CAREFULL WHO YOU TALK TO IN THAT BUISSNESS, ALSO MAKE SURE YOU CARRY SOME SORT OF PROTECTION TO YOUR CAR. AND NEVER TAKE RIDES/ OR THE BUS OKAY?

I dated a stripper and I remember her telling me that nowadays there's too much pressure to be a prostitute. She also told me a lot of guys get violent about it when you refuse their offers. So no, it's not safe. All it would take is for you to come across the wrong guy... security would be important where you choose to work.

The benefit is the money. I remember she used to bring home way over 1000.00 per week. Sometimes she'd earn as much as 600.00 per night.
