Good, cheap headphones.?!

Question: I'm looking for a decent pair of headphones anywhere for no more than $30. I'm cursed when it comes to headphones. No matter what they can't seem to last longer than a few months. If they are decent enough to last longer than a month I end up snapping the cord by accident or my cat chews the cord in half.

My requirements: Blocks out outside noise, Small(Don't have room in my bag for any of those around-the-head things), Good quality sound(NOT those cheap i-pod headphones, those are awful), can't cost anymore than $30, soft [if ear buds] (I have rather small ears, all the hard ones hurt my ears), and have to have a cord that is strong. (One pair I bought cord was so... weak. I didn't realize it was caught on anything but when I pulled them up instead of giving me any stress they just snapped in half.)

I like tiny in-the-ear buds myself. They're the ones that actually fit into the outer part of your ear canal. They have to seal off your ear to sound right, and naturally provide good isolation. As you have just two tiny buds and no headband, they can fit in the smallest of spaces. These days they're quite cheap.

They do extraordinarily well compared to open-air earbuds like what you'd get with an iPod, much better, I think, particularly in the low end. The in-the-ear buds do a much better job since they take advantage of the acoustics of a sealed ear canal and manage to get a big sound even though the driver is tiny.

Currently I have the Sony MDR-EX51LP earbuds. You can pick them up for about $25 at Amazon. They're reall small and come with a little "case" slightly smaller than your thumb. They do quite a good job reproducing a wide tonal range. In fact, I like the sound of their earbuds better than many of Sony's full-sized closed-design headphones costing up to $50, which sound way to boomy and don't do much on the mid- and high ranges, at least to my ear.

i found that u can get free headphones off of ur friends ipod free of charge

For your good cheap hormones? Best Buy

Um... I got REALLY good ones, at the dollar store ;]

I'm not sure what the item number is on them, but I found them at wal-mart, they are Sony headphones, big ones with good bass and like a 10 ft cord and an instrument cable adapter, all for about 20 bucks, go check it out. If u can find it, get it.

They sell these cute "jelly" earbuds in Walgreens. They come in kind of pod shaped packaging, and are also produced in many different colors!
