If you could change a major world event ? What would it be and why change it?!

Question: Can include saving a famous person's life.

Answers: Can include saving a famous person's life.

I'd stop Adam & Eve eating that fruit

take a path that splits in 2 and you will always wonder what if ?

best leave things the way they are now , it you changed anything in the past , you would most certainly change the here and now . and it might just possibly be a worse place than what we have now .

in answer to your question . I wouldnt change a thing

9/11........theres was just no need.

I would change something by-

Not letting the tsunami have killed anyone, that way everyone could have learnt something by it happening but no one would have been so tragically killed.

I would like to have changed the attack on the twin towers (9/11).
My friend on 360 lost a brother in this event and that really saddens me. Not to mention all the other people who died, but it really hits home when it happens to someone you know. x x

I would change the way the government responded to Churchill's warnings about Hitler, then we might actually have been properly prepared and won the war quicker.

The curse of religion responsble for more misery and murder than anything else ever

I would cancel all the wars. They wouldn't start at all. The world could be much better today.

I would Like to get rid of nuclear weapons, they should never have been invented. I would also like to have told Mr. & Mrs, Hitler to use condoms!

I would have certainly not gone ahead with the Big Bang at all, and continued to enjoy myself without the need for any human to worship me. "smile"

As with the first answer, I wouldn't change a thing, yes bad things have happened in the past, but good things have come from it. Take just these few examples from changes already posted.

9/11, whilst tragic, united a world in putting an end to terrorism around the world. The battle may or may not be over yet, but when we do finally recover the world will be a much better place to live (read up on nostradamus, he predicted fire from the sky killing thousands but that the resulting peace would last for a millenia!)

Hitler, yep real bad guy, but without him we wouldn't know as much as we do now in the world of medicine, yes lots of people lost their lives as a part of his "research" but he did find out a hell of a lot, especially with regards to the way the brain works.

Nucear weapons, yep, bad but is it because of the fear of the use of these weapons that has prevented a third world war?

Also, keep in mind one thing, if you go back and change anythng, no matter how small, it would have an effect on the present, that effect may well be that you cease to exist. If you dont exist then who went back in time to make that change, no-one, therefore the change doesnt occur and your back - there lies a paradox!

Good question !

In my life, I committed some mistakes and I did bad things; but I am learning of my errors and I am trying to make my life better. So I don't want to change events which are related to me.

On the wide level, I would change and delete wars and disasters where many innocent people died!

Thanks

i would have cracked down on drugs coming to england in the 1950s instead of saying its a passing phase like our goverment did. the reason being people like me who got abused and **** on wouldnt or might not ov ruined there childhood being smashed all the time. but then again i might not be in the amazing position that im in right now. so you never no.
