You are correct, it was done by The Romantics. However, I've never heard anyone say that The Ramones performed it. Perhaps they were confused because Romantics & Ramones kind of sound a like??

Perhaps whatever site you are looking at in incorrect. I've only ever seen "What I like about you" associated with The Romantics. Perhaps the site you are consulting just got the two mixed up because of the name.
