Electronic Drum kit?!

Question: I'm looking to buy an electronic drum kit.

I will be using it for playing metal, I'm willing to pay around $1000 to $1500, and the kit needs to be able to support a double bass pedal.

Any recommendations?

I picked up a set of Roland V-drums on sale at Guitar Center for right around $1,500. They also gave me a used floor model double pedal for free (I won't play without one). I bought a very respectable keyboard amp to play it through and the cheapest throne available. You may have some of this stuff already, but I walked in with nothing and left with everything I needed for around $2,000. The kit does what I need, but you will notice a lot of not very useful gag/noise kits & tones programmed in there. I still recommend it though.
Now I just wish I was a better drummer.
get the real thing! And it also lets you grow into a better drummer...
for 1500bucks you should be able to find some good mid-range set..... check your local music store.
