What kind of strings are easiest to play on an acoustic guitar?!

Question: I've been playing on my acoustic for a while and it seems like my strings are harder to play on in terms of pressing down the frets. When I play my friends guitar or other acoustic guitars, I find them much easier to play and I don't have to press down as hard. My electric is also much more easier to play. Is it my guitar? Do I have the wrong type of strings (nylon, steel, etc.)? Or are some strings just easier to play? Please help me by telling me the certain brand and type I should get!! Thanks! :D

Its not necessarily the type of strings as it is the placement of your bridge. This goes the same way with any stringed instrument in which you have direct contact with strings.

The bridge is the piece of plastic at the top of the fingerboard right before the head of the guitar. If this was made incorrectly, your string will sit at a further distance away from the fingerboard. This makes it harder - and sometimes more painful - to play.

I've always had good experiences with Ernie Ball strings. Metal strings will give you a better sound, although nylon strings are easier on the fingertips. But if you want to actually play the guitar for a while, you need to build up calluses on your fingertips anyway.
