my daughter is turning 11, will be a boy AND girl party, it will be a skating party, disney's ' high school musical' is the theme, expecting about 30-40 kids

i am trying to find fun original ideas for her bday this year, for the most part it will be skating to music BUT i wanted a few other things to do, so far I've come up with

musical chairs (so cliche) but on skates
polaroid picture station (instant scrapbooking and kids love to take pics)
a faux 'high school musical' yearbook for the kids to sign their autographs in


any other ideas? thanks

One of my daughter's favorite party games was a treasure hunt. You can separate the group into 3-6 smaller groups. I made clues, about 8 or so, for them to hunt for, like "when you find the next clue, it'll be something to write home about" might mean that the next clue is in the mailbox. The clue in the mailbox might be, "The next clue is a little squirrely for you" meaning it was on a tree somewhere." When they got to the last clue, there was a prize. If you wanted to just give a prize to the group who found their last clue the fastest, you could give away something inexpensive, like candy bars. Or, if you're generous, put some small prizes at the end for each group. (candy's always a good prize). The kids absolutely loved hunting for the clues.
