So this whole reality TV thing....?
What effect, positive or negative, do you think "reality" tv is having on our society ?
Also, do you think it feeds into the papparazzi frenzy, and into tragedies like the death of Princess Diana, & motorcycle crashes of George Clooney & Keith Urban ?
Answers: I think it's positive. It exposes humans for the scum they are, and as a result, people seem to be better able to relate to each other. I think it negatively effects the people who are on the shows though. They get chewed up and spit out.
For example, MTV has shows w/ gay men on it, and as a result, I think society is finally learning to accept them because they're more familiar w/ them, and can relate.
Also 30-days, nanny 911, all of those shows that use people as real life examples to help others learn is a good thing.
Reality tv does not feed papparazzi - if anything it should lessen the frenzy. People get to have their "real" life drama w/o having to harass famous people so much.
