Radiohead is going to let fans choose how much they will pay for their newest al!

Question:

Radiohead is going to let fans choose how much they will pay for their newest album. Is this a good idea?

Tell me what you think.

Answers: I think it's a good idea, but it's a move only a band like Radiohead can pull, or would attempt to. They have a huge loyal following and don't need radio play, many fans will purchase the album, and the subsequent tour will be huge.

It was a good move to counter declining CD sales. Radiohead is awesome. Oh yeah, I just read that online about 20 minutes ago. Meh, even if doesn't pay off, they still got plenty of money to live off of. They must really be thinking this new album is the shizzle... Yes. Most bands make their money primarily from ticket and merch sales, anyway. This way, fans who really love the band will want to support them with a fair price, but more casual listeners (or those of us who are always broke) will be more inclined to get the album, too. At this point, it's not about the money. It's about reaching as wide an audience as possible. I think it's brilliant. I've ordered my copy. I paid $11. Not that much, but all $11 goes directly to the band. And I'll spend hundreds on a concert ticket for their next tour. They'll make out, trust me.

Brilliant!
