There's some exceptions, but most of it seems to be ridiculously lame, egotistical, immoral and musically bland.
Will it be respected in the future?
Answers: Most definitely. People in the PRESENT look at urban music and cringe. It'll get the same reaction then that we give "pet rocks" now. A lot of people bought pet rocks, but now they just feel stupid when they run across it collecting dust in the corner of the attic. It will be one of those "what was I thinking?" moments.
