First electric guitar - mexican fender strat or yamaha pacifica 112j?
hey guys im about to buy my first electric guitar and the two guitars im torn between are the yamaha pacifica 112j and the mexican fender strat. First of all, i've only played a little bit of acoustic, so i do not know very much about guitars.
the fender strat is $399 and the yamaha pacifica is $199. I hear that the pacifica is one of the best guitars for a beginner and really good for its price. I also hear that it has a really large variety of sounds it can make due to its pickups. About the strat, everyone just says its great. Can anyone give me any advice on which i should buy, taking into account price and the quality and strengths/weaknesses of each guitar? Thanks!

They are both great guitars but I'd say go with the Yamaha. You'll save same money and as you are starting out on electric you might want to get a better guitar in the future. The Yamaha is just as good as the Fender, but people diss them cus they're not an as well known brand.
