What's that fantastic chord at the start of 'Hemispheres' by Rush...?!

Question:

What's that fantastic chord at the start of 'Hemispheres' by Rush...?

...it's F#7addB!

E-------0----
B-------0----
G-------3----
D-------4----
A-------4----
E-------2----

a truly wonderful chord! I want you to write to the Minister for Progressive Rock Music, Mr Alex Geddy-McNeil, and petition him to have this chord officially re-named 'THE RUSH CHORD OUT OF HEMISPHERES' please.

Once we've got that done, we can lobby for the F#min7addB chord to be re-named 'THE JOHN MCLAUGHLIN CHORD OFF FAITH'. Are you with me?

Thank you for your support, I shall wear it always. God bless us, everyone!

Grateful - I'm grateful but it's F#7addB. Notes are F# C# F# A# B E. F# triad is F # A# C#, 7th degree (dominant) is E, add B. Thanks for your help but I know the chord. Notice the 2 open strings.

It's a great chord - play when you get your guitar. F#min7addB is lovely too. It's F# C# F# A B E - use your thumb to play the bottom F#, notice the open strings again. REM use a version (with no bottom F#) on Near Wild Heaven.

Answers:

i don't have my guitar in front of me, so i'm just doing it in my head and on paper. it looks like an F# major chord (F#, A#, C#, F#). if i'm wrong, i apologize.
