What kids loves in cartoons?!

What kids loves in cartoons?

I am making a story and I hope it can also be as a cartoon, but there is no massive killing and its not funny. Its just serious, for teenagers and adults. Main character is peaceful and non-violent, but I am thinking to use Looney tunes things. Like Coyote uses traps to catch Road Runner.

Can you please tell me what kids really loves? Only big weapons and killing? Do they like anything else? How about spells and magic?

In some cartoons with superheros there is always some shooting.

I don't think that they like killing and big weapons. I think they like anything funny that happens to characters like Tom always getting himself hurt and out-smarted by Jerry.
