Question:

How does the violin produce its sound? and electric violin? wads the difference??

Answers:

Well, in a non amplified violin: the strings vibrate and make the soundboard vibrate causing the volume to increase.

In an amplified violin, all of those things apply but there is also a microphone or magnetic transducer that picks up those vibrations and sends them to an amplifier. (that's the short answer).
