In a general-sized concert stadium (20,000 capacity avg.) are the back floor sea!

Question:

In a general-sized concert stadium (20,000 capacity avg.) are the back floor seats worth getting?

I need someone's help here who has sat in the back floor sections at an averaged sized arena (about 20,000 seating capacity) such as Madison Square Garden. Are the seats terrible? Can you see the stage ok? Are they better than getting seats that are higher up? Any help is MASSIVELY appreciated.

Answers:

well, depends on the arena, obviously (I've never been to MSG) but since the floor seating is level (at least where I've been) the backs seats do kinda suck (in my experience - I learned my lesson well) - unless you're really tall & can see past all the people in front of you - I would prefer to have the best first level seats rather than floor seats in the back
