I was in the pit. That's the best spot if you want the total experience. That's who the artists gear their show to. You can watch videos on YouTube from various seats, but I warn you it will kinda ruin some of the surprises. And as far as being able to hear, I am sure anyone from the pit to the lawn can hear just fine.
