can anyone tell me what the difference is between balanced and unbalanced outputs are on a dj mixer

Connecting balanced equipment to a balanced output will reduce electrical noise and result in a clearer signal from source to destination.
Unbalanced outputs can be used for the DJ to listen to the mixer since that signal is not critical, just enough to cue up the music.
