I'm learning violin but my bow bounces on the strings even the teacher has no id!

I'm learning violin but my bow bounces on the strings even the teacher has no idea any body knows why?

if your bow is bouncing itd have to be that when you place it down on the strings your placing it too hard and your holding the bow to loosely. that or if your jumping strings while playing real fast. oh and if your still learning how to play wouldn't you still be at the plucking stage..
