Carvin Carved-top vs PRS?!

Question:

Carvin Carved-top vs PRS?

I've been interested in Carvin guitars for a while, but have never played one (they are factory-direct). I've been interested in PRS guitars, and love 'em.

Now, Carvin has their "Caved-Top" series which look like PRS, but I'm wondering of anyone has any real-world comments that can help me decide now that I'm ready to take the plunge.

Carvins I like:

I also really like their black-burst finishes.
PRS I like:

(ps: I've been playing guitar for 18 years, and have owned, over that time, nearly 30 guitars including Gibson Les Pauls, Fender Strats, Ibanez SC's, Jackson Dinky's, Schecters, Washburn, Dean, Hamer, GTX, Charvel, etc...you can be technical with me, and I'll know what you're talking about...you won't have to "dumb" anything down for a beginner.

Note: Prefferably, I'd like answers from people who have info on both. I can go on all day about how a Honda Accord, but I can't actually tell you how a Toyota Camry is different because I've never driven one.

This is the real information I'm looking for. Someone who can give a side-by-side.

Answers:

Stick with PRS. I've seen how they make their guitars. The quality is there. All of the pickups are handmade and handwired in the guitar. There is a reason that it takes about a year to have a custom PRS built. If I could buy one myself, believe me, I would do at the drop of a dime.
