yea dont use host programs like bearshare, limewire, "napster-esque". They are all bad and loaded with spyware. Download Azureus. Then you go to a website such as torrentspy.com There you can download torrent files (huge files compressed) You can get software, entire albums, movies- yes movies like girls gone wild.
Search "how to download torrents" this is the best thing going and has been for a few years...
