There are many bands who have sold their musical souls for cash and fame in the last 50 years, but who do you think was the biggest?
Answers:
WIthout trying to be argumentative, I don't consider a musician or band that has made a lot of money with their music to be "sell outs".
How many people sit in their bedroom with their guitar thinking "oh man, I sure hope one day to write songs make albums that make a minimal amount of money and I have no real noteriety".
If I had that talent, I would write songs and sell it to any company that wanted to use me to hawk their product. Since when is making money bad? I would rather be stinking, filty rich and have my best song thought of every time a Ford Escort commercial came on, than to have some songs and sit in my Ivory Tower thinking my sh*t don't stink because I am above selling my song to an advertiser. This is America...I love capitalism! lol
