Live Earth - What happens to the donations?

The donations from the Live Aid concerts obliviously went to buy aid and transportation but what happens to Live Earth? For every thousand pounds raised we can keep a plane out of the sky for a day? Demolish a town to recalim back green belt space? Buy a wind turbine for a family in Newcastle? Or maybe plant some trees along the M6 Corridor...seriously though, I have no idea!

I haven't donated as I never knew how the money was beig spent, not that I would have if I knew! Better off spending it on energy efficent light bulbs or something.

E-bay demanded that a portion of ticket sales be donated to charity as a condition of listing.

The concerts did not solicit monetary donations, they asked for pledges to live in a more environmentally responsible manner.

The questions about "what happens to the money" came from pundits more interested in propaganda points than accuracy.
