what string should i strum?
all i know is i dont have to strum all the strings, right?
but how? how could i get the real tone of the song?

I've never heard the song, but just watched that video and another on YouTube. There is no strumming going on....it's all being fingerpicked. Use your thumb to take the 3 low strings (E, A, D) and your pointer finger, middle finger, and ring finger to take the 3 high strings (G, B, e). Now just pay attention to what strings your left hand is pushing on and finger pick those. The video you posted, it looks like most of the rhythm is just your root note (the 1st note in the chord) then the note your finger is on plus the open G string at the same time.
It's really difficult to try to explain how to finger pick. But don't try and strum this song, you won't get the right sound. You might be able to pick it out with your pick, but it doesn't sound like your at that level yet. Good luck.
